| | A hate crime is a criminal offence committed against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by the offender’s (real or perceived) bias, prejudice or hate against an identifiable group (such as, race, nationality, ethnicity, language, colour, religion, gender expression or identity, age, mental or physical disability or sexual orientation or similar factor). A hate/bias incident is a non-criminal action or behavior that is motivated by hate against an identifiable group. | Hate crime: assault, mischief (graffiti), and uttering threats, etc.

If your vehicle was damaged during this occurrence, include the damage information in this report. | Something that you own is stolen from a vehicle. Property can include: car stereo, personal items, or laptop. |
| | Property other than a vehicle is taken without your permission. The total value of the property taken must be less than $5,000. You can report a stolen bicycle provided its value is less than $5,000.
Use Theft from Vehicle report-type if the items were stolen from your vehicle. | Something that you own is taken without your consent. Theft of a vehicle cannot be reported online. A vehicle would include: a car, truck, A.T.V., snowmobile, trailer, farm equipment or road building machine. |
