Citizen\'s Online Reporting System
There are several different incident types that can be entered using the internet. Please select one from the list below and continue. If the incident your are reporting has a known suspect, or there is evidence that needs to be picked up, processed or examined you should instead call us (303) 438-6400.
Incident TypeDefinitionExamples
  An unknown person committed a deliberate act of damaging, defacing or destroying personal property of another. 1) Someone maliciously damaged your mailbox.
2) Someone threw a rock through the window to a house or business.
3) Someone spray painted graffiti on your vehicle, personal or business property.
  When property is tampered with, with the intent to cause inconvenience or annoyance. No permanent damage should have occurred.

You do not have a known suspect(s).


1) Someone toilet papers your business or residence.
2) Someone eggs your vehicle.
3) Someone throws shaving cream on your vehicle or personal property.
  Property intentionally damaged by a person(s). Damage to a Motor vehicle or home. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE GRAFFITI.A person intentionally threw a rock through the window of a vehicle or home, causing damage, no entry was attempted and nothing was stolen
  When someone knowingly dispenses fuel and leaves the premises without paying for the fuel.

If you have complete license plate number you will need to call PD at 303 438-6400.

Dispensing fuel into a vehicle or container and leaving the scene without paying for the fuel.
  A person intentionally tampers with the property of another to cause inconvenience or annoyance. No actual damage of property THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE GRAFFITI.Your house or vehicle is "egged" or covered in toilet paper.
  Repeated and unwanted telephone calls with the intent to harass, annoy, alarm the person receiving the calls whether or not a conversation ensues No known suspects can be reported through the online system.Debt collector, scams, repeated unwanted calls from a known person that are not threatening bodily harm.
  Property that has been lost or misplaced. You may also use this report if you find the property originally reported as lost.Personal items that are missing with no indication they were stolen, i.e. left at a restaurant or other public place. Often insurance companies or third parties request a report number. Note: the value of the property must be less than $2,000.
  A person takes merchandise from a retail establishment without paying.A person walks out of a store with merchandise stuffed in his pockets making no attempt to pay for it.
  Reporting additional information to the Broomfield PD that includes a list of property. No known suspect information can be reported online nor should you be in any immediate danger.You have already reported a theft to the Broomfield Police Department through the online system and have a case number. Now you need to provide additional information that includes property.
  Reporting additional information to the Broomfield PD that does not include a list of property. No known suspect information can be reported online nor should you be in any immediate danger.You have already reported a theft or vandalism to the Broomfield Police Department and have a case number. Now you need to provide additional information but must not include any known suspect information.
  When property is taken without your permission by an unknown suspect. This does not include someone physically taking something from your person.

The value of property must not exceed $2,000. Additionally, if you have a serial number you cannot use the online reporting system.

Items stolen from your yard, driveway, porch or other common shared areas such as apartment complexes and laundry facilities.

The theft can not have occurred as a result of forced entry into your home, business or vehicle. Lost or mislaid property is not a theft.

Example:1) Some took your lawnmower from your yard.

  

Your property is taken without your permission. THEFT FROM A RETAILER WITH SUSPECT INFORMATION SHOULD BE REPORTED AS SHOPLIFTING. FOR MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT, CONTACT PD

Property known to be stolen and missing may be reported. Lost property is not a theft.

  Property is stolen from a motor vehicle.Stolen belongings from a vehicle. Purse, wallet, backpack.
  Parts of a vehicle are stolenCatalytic converter, radio, License plates
  Your "Credit Cards" have been used outside the state of Colorado by an unknown suspect(s) without your authorization, for purchases totaling less than $2,000. Most credit card companies will reimburse the card holder for unauthorized charges as long as the fraudulent charges are reported to the creditor within 30 days.

Example 1: Your credit card, or credit card information, was used to make a purchase in London, England for $299.

Example2: Your credit card information was used to make an online purchase in the amount of $495, and the item was shipped to an address in California.
