Incident Type

There are several different incident types that can be entered using the internet. Please select one from the list below and continue. If the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, you should instead call us.
Incident TypeDefinitionExamples
  A non-criminal interaction or grievance reported by a member of the public. These complaints generally involve issues that are not criminal in nature but may require mediation, investigation, or resolution. Example: An unresolved civil agreement between two parties or disputes over property lines, noise complaints, or concerns about local ordinances.
  Individual unlawfully retains possession of property they rented or leased, with the intent to permanently deprive the owner of the property. This offense often involves failing to return the property within the agreed-upon time frame or using deception to avoid returning it. Example: Equipment is rented from a rental agency for one week but is not returned by the due date. After attempts by certfied mail by the rental agency to contact the person, the property is not returned.
  Someone convinces you to give them your money, personal information, or items through some type of confidence scheme or scam.Example: You donated money to a person who you came into contact with and later discovered the program that person was representing was not a real program.
  Someone damaged your vehicle (car, motorcycle, etc.) by driving a vehicle into it where it no one was injured. You do not know the suspect's name; they left without identifying themselves or exchanging info.

Example: Someone hits your parked car and leaves the scene.
  Someone left trash or other items that do not belong to you on your property without your permission.Example: Garbage bags added to your dumpster or trash can, needles left in your parking lot, human waste in front of business door, mattress dumped on your yard.
  Lost or misplaced property that was not stolen, and the lost items: Example: This includes the loss of any personal items such as, wallets, purses, credit cards, identification, and cell phones. Lost Credit Cards, Bank Cards, Driver License, Identification, and Valuables must be entered individually in the Property Information Section with their Serial Numbers.
  Any type of loud and/or annoying noise that is ongoing and is not suspected of something that would require immediate response in order to prevent harm or danger to a person or persons property.Ongoing problem with loud music coming from inside a house or vehicle. Ongoing problem with a residence, business or vehicle alarm going off several times a day. Ongoing problem with dog barking. Ongoing problem with loud motorcycles or vehicles in the area.
  An unknown person who is no longer at the scene was doing unusual things that might indicate they could be planning or involved in a crime. Example: A person was looking through parked vehicle windows or an unknown person is attempting to open a gate to neighbor's yard. A vehicle had possibly been in the area and it appeared that the driver had been planning, or had been involved in, a crime.
  Person is receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown subject and has no lawful reason to be calling the complainant. Reporting Person must have attempted three *57 traces within thirty days, or attempted to block the caller and verbally told the caller not to call their number anymore.You have received multiple calls form an unknown subject. Calls consist of harassing behavior, and the complainant tried to block the number, but the subject keeps calling from other manufactured numbers.
  Someone stole or attempted to steal items that do not fit into other theft categories. Use this to report bicycle theft (not from inside a building), packages stolen off porch, items stolen from shopping cart in parking lot, etc.Example: Theft of a bicycle chained outside.
  Someone entered, either forcefully or not, and it appears they attempted to steal the vehicle or items from the vehicle. Example: Found vehicle with broken window, and someone appeared to have rummaged through the glovebox, center console and trunk but nothing seems to be missing.
  Intentional damage to property, that is not caused by arson (fire), graffiti, or gunfire.

Example: Someone smashed up a mailbox or broke a business window (without attempting entry into business)
