Incident Type
There are several different incident types that can be entered using the internet. Please select one from the list below and continue. If the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, you should instead call us.
Incident TypeDefinitionExamples
  The act of changing, defacing, or damaging public or private property.Damaging residences, yards, ornaments, etc. If your are reporting a graffiti, please call 703-746-4444.
  A motor vehicle is damaged or defaced, usually externally.Keying, broken windows, slashed tires, etc. If you are reporting a graffiti, please call 703-746-4444.
  Unwanted phone calls or email of an annoying , harassing nature.Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspects.
  Your vehicle or property is struck by a vehicle causing damage with no personal injury. Vehicle parked on the street overnight is sideswiped by an unknown vehicle.
  Obtaining someone else’s personal identifying information and using it to obtain credit, goods or services. Someone obtains a credit card using your S.S.N or obtains phone services using your personal information.
  Property is stolen from a motor vehicle including motor vehicle parts.Stolen property from inside a vehicle, or actual parts of the vehicle, such as: Stereos, tires, mirrors, etc. No guns or narcotics
  The taking of a bicycle without your permission.Your bicycle was taken from bike rack, yard, park, etc. This does not include theft from inside a garage.
  When property is taken without your permission. This does not include someone physically taking something from your person.Property known to be stolen under $10,000: Wallets, purses, cell phones, Ipods, Credit cards, bicycles, laptop computers, etc. If your are reporting stolen property from inside a vehicle, or actual parts of the vehicle, please call 703-746-4444.
  When property is missing, unintentionally left behind, or lost at unknown time and/or location. Wallets, purses, cell phones, etc. Wallet is left on the hood of a vehicle and driver accidentally drove off. No passports.
  Tampering with a motor vehicle.Left vehicle unlocked someone goes through compartments nothing taken.
