Incident Type	Definition	Examples
Auto Collision	When two or more vehicles collide on a roadway with minor damage to the vehicles and there are no injuries to any involved party or passenger and all parties have exchanged information.	You are involved in an accident with another vehicle on the roadway where there is minor or no damage to the vehicles and no injuries to anyone involved. You rear end someone at a stop sign, etc.
Damaged Property	Property is damaged by another (does NOT include accidents or accidental damage to an item)	Your car is keyed. Your mailbox is smashed.
Fraud/Identity Theft	Deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. SUPPORTING FINANCIAL DOCUMENTATION MUST BE ATTACHED.	Uses someone else's identity to open an account to obtain goods.
Graffiti	Defacing of public or private property by painting, drawing, writing, or otherwise marring the surface of the property by use of paint, spray paint, ink, or any other substance or object.	Spray painted a school retaining wall.
Lost Property	Property was lost at any location in the city. Property was not stolen.	Lost cell phone while at the park.
Tampering	Tampers with the property of another.	House is egged or someone cuts your cable line.
Theft	Your property is stolen by another	Package is stolen from your front porch.
Theft From Vehicle	An unknown suspect enters your vehicle and steals any item from within.	Car is broken into and your stereo is stolen.
Theft of License Plate	License plate stolen from a vehicle	Theft of a license plate
Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts	Parts from a vehicle are stolen (does not include license plates)	Theft of a bumper from a car.
