Citizen's Online Reporting System

There are several different incident types that can be entered using the internet. Please select one from the list below and continue. If the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, you should instead call us.
Incident TypeDefinitionExamples
  Unwanted phone calls of an annoying, harassing or threatening nature.Immediate hang-ups, obscene language, etc. with no known suspects.
  Property that has been lost or misplaced.Personal items that are missing with no indication they were stolen, i.e. left at a restaurant or other public place. Often insurance companies or third parties request a report number. Note: the value of the property must be less than $1,000.
  A traffic collision with no injuries; when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or other stationary obstruction, such as a tree, pole or building.
  • A vehicle accident where there are no injuries or only property damage.
  • You are involved in an accident where there is damage to your car but nobody is injured or requires medical attention. You hit a post or mailbox and nobody is injured.
  • Damage cannot be over $1,000.
  Due to a specific problem or situation in a neighborhood. Repeated problems with a neighboring residence such as suspected drug traffic or noise complaints.
  When property is taken without your permission. This does not include someone physically taking something from your person.Items stolen from your yard, driveway, porch or other common shared areas such as laundry facilities of apartment complexes. The theft can not have occurred as a result of a break-in to your home, business or vehicle. Lost of mislaid property is not a theft.
  Due to a specific traffic related problem or situation, extra traffic enforcement requested. Observed speeding in a specific area at specific times of the day or night if no immediate danger exists.
  A deliberate act of damaging, defacing or destroying personal or public property. Mailbox maliciously damaged; "Keying" a car's paint finish; broken windows; defacement of public or private property, Having eggs, shaving cream or toilet paper thrown at house or property. No permanent damage to any property. etc… Note: Gang related graffiti must be reported directly to the PD by calling( 574) 235-9201.
  Property is stolen from a motor vehicle.Stolen equipment or belongings from a vehicle.
  Tampering with a Motor vehicle.Keying, broken windows, or attempts to remove parts.
