| You see your neighbor's dog chained to a post all day with little food or water and are concerned for their welfare, or, your neighbor's dog barks throughout the night disturbing your peace. Your neighbor's dog bites you, someone else or someone's pet.

| | Incidents involving the custody/care/control of children.
Do not file an online report for a child you believe is in physical danger OR for child abductions.
| One parent fails to drop off a child at a pre-determined place or time, or otherwise violates the conditions of a child custody court order and the child is not in danger. This report would be for documentation purposes only.

| | Complaint of an incident involving civil matters.
This is for documentation purposes only. No further investigation would be conducted. | A neighbor building a fence on your property, a breach of contract, your tenant does not pay rent, etc. Your attorney suggests that you make a report to the police to make them aware of something not related to a criminal offense.

| Hit and run accident where the driver of a motor vehicle does not stop after being involved in a collision with another vehicle or property. Online reporting is available when there are no injuries, the other vehicle's license plate number is unknown, and the current location of the other vehicle is unknown.
